A Praised by The New York Times for her “inventive,” “graceful,” ”showpiece” works, the Drama Desk Awards-nominated composer, performing artist and multi-instrumentalist on violin, Viper electric violin, and piano Ana Milosavljevic (aka ANA) unites with the Japanese Taiko virtuosi AUN & HIDE (former members of Ondekoza and Kodo) for an evening of exciting music. Together, these versatile musicians will perform their original compositions and improvised music on violin, six-stringed Viper electric violin, Japanese Taiko drums, shamisen, chappa, and Fue Japanese flute. This electrifying multicultural collaboration fuses elements of traditional Balkan, traditional Japanese, Western classical, folk, popular, and improvised music in a gorgeous collision of ancient and cutting-edge sounds.
